FILE UNDER: YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS SHIT UP
You could have knocked me with a feather yesterday afternoon, when I found out what the fuss over another tweet was about and the reason it was reported to the police.
It was posted Friday morning to nobody, just a phrase that was on my mind. Who knew something as innocuous as it would be taken as a threat, serious enough to report me to the police.
I had just gotten off the phone to an old friend in Los Angeles, who I had been speaking with about an incident from almost 2 decades ago, as part of m book, I’m attempting to write – again. There have been a few attempts over the years, which I have ended and abandoned to a file on my computer.
The incident involved the late Andrea True Connection, a singer of sorts and a porn actress who had a few disco hits in the 70′s, the biggest being “More More More” She was a little long in the tooth when I met her, but was desperate for work. I hired her and she became one of my escorts. I wrote about it last year when she died and mentioned she attempted to grass me up to LAPD’s administrative vice, One thing I didn’t mention in the blog post, was that she tried to extort me, which led me to leave a message on her answering machine. Calling her a snitch I told her to back off. Well, my exact words were a little harsher.

Still laughing about the events and speaking with my friend, I tweeted the phrase not knowing it would be interpreted by a rag tag team of people in Homerton hell bent on hurting me.
These aren’t frightened people, who feel threatened by me, they are revengeful people with bruised egos who will say and do anything to see me fall.
I’ve been asked by the police, to tread carefully and avoid writing anything that could be misconstrued by these people, but for me it will be a cold day in hell before I allow anyone to dictate what I write about and I refuse to walk on egg shells because of a rag tag team of curtain twitchers, who do not like me.
I will as I always have, write within the parameters of the law, and while I understand the cops are just doing their job trying to “keep the peace”, I don’t think they should be wiping asses, drying tears and soothing bruised egos of adults who don’t agree with another member of an online community.
I have been through enough in my life time to be dictated to, by a bunch of clueless white middle-class bored housewives and wannabe gatekeepers, for a section of Hackney. I have nothing in common with these people.
For 15 years I ran an escort service starting out in New Orleans where I bought a madams business and her “black book” which in reality was hundreds of index cards (before internet). Then I returned to Los Angeles and opened up shop which put me under the radar of the LAPD. I spent 8 years playing a cat and mouse game with LAPD’s administrative vice dept. It meant being suspicious 24/7, wondering if I was being watched, if my phones were tapped, if the woman I was interviewing was an under cover vice up trying to infiltrate my business, if the new potential client I was fixing up with one of my ladies, was an undercover officer. It was constant, along with the threat of being arrested.
I was always worried about the ladies and worried for my safety. While I made an awful lot of money and enjoyed a great lifestyle, I paid the price. I became an expert at losing cars that I felt were following me…my fears were confirmed a couple of times. To this day even though I’m out of the business and live a mundane life in London, I get suspicious if the same car is behind me for too long.
I lost my liberty twice after armed LAPD vice cops raided my home, all because I chose to run a business that I felt and still feel should be legal and decriminalized in the US. I wasn’t hurting anyone. Knowing my past and the strong views I hold about a lot of things, it’s not hard to understand why I feel the way I do about pettiness like this, and my rights to free speech.
Twitter is a platform where people post relevant and irrelevant musings and my timeline is full of other peoples quotes and affirmations. It’s where you will find quotes from movies, songs, books, it’s where people make political statements and random thoughts. Does this mean if I chose to tweet a quote from Scarface, I’ll be under police investigation, because a group of people from Homerton resent me? Will they complain that I am a coked out drug dealer, who needs investigating?
I have nothing left to say about them, they are irrelevant and yesterdays news (if they were news in the first place). I moved on a long time ago, but they can’t let things go. I have never met them nor wish to, nor do I live in Homerton. I merely wrote about them here after it was written about on another site and spoke several times to the owners of Silk House hotel. I don’t wish them any harm, but wish they just leave me alone, don’t read my blog or my tweets, especially since they have been blocked from seeing my tweets.
I’ll end this with my favorite Tony Montana quote (with a heavy Cuban accent) from Scarface :
What you lookin’ at? You all a bunch of fuckin’ assholes. You know why? You don’t have the guts to be what you wanna be? You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your fuckin’ fingers and say, “That’s the bad guy.” So… what that make you? Good? You’re not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don’t have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth. Even when I lie. So say good night to the bad guy! Come on. The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you. Come on. Make way for the bad guy. There’s a bad guy comin’ through! Better get outta his way!
